I had that same contest w...You're a total stud. I had that same contest with my BF and he was the one who was able to do it, but only on one leg. We checked ankle dorsiflexion and that does appear to be the limiting factor for me, at least. You can test how bad it is by standing barefoot 10cm away facing a wall in a lunge position. If your knee touches the wall when you lunge forward (keeping your heel on the ground), you're good to go. My knee is about 3" away from the wall. Clearly, I have work to do. (well, two actual...i did one! i did a pistol squat! (well, two actually; one on each side.) my boyfriend and i had to go run at the ymca tonight because it was snowing so i decided to try them. the first few times i could make it down but then couldn't push myself back up, but finally i got it. my quads are going to be super sore tomorrow! jordan tried but kept falling on his butt on the way down...i'm guessing he doesn't have enough ankle flexibility yet? it's rare for me to do anything better than him so i'm pretty excited about it. my new goal is to work up to doing five in a row on each side. then i'm 100% sure i'll achieve all my 2014 race goals.Meagan Nedlohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08765071425503584768noreply@blogger.com
